This. Someone managed to supercharge the JDM only gen1 prius which had a higher compression but lower power engine as well as a smaller motor. The hybrid system kept tabs on how much power the engine makes and cuts out when they switched to a turbo that made more power at the same boost levels than what the hybrid

im surprised they kept it going for so long with alot of overlap in their lineup and a shrinking japanese market.Shame that the manual IS350 is saying goodbye
