I still find it weird that GM decided to rebadge the daewoo instead of the original design from their fully owned Opel subsidy especially how well the kadett e was received in europe in stark contrast the daewoo in the uk was plague with build qulity woes.

to be fair the jimny seems to be at the lower end of the kei car crash protection spectrum as the previous gen jimny had trouble in the JNCAP offset crashes compared to other kei cars of similar year model

Euro NCAP rated the 2008 daihatsu cuore (a L275 mira that has a 1.0 engine swapped instead of the regulation 660cc engine and 80mm longer presumably as a result of said engine change) 4 stars in a 40% overlap crash test without incurring much of a weight penalty (765 kg vs 750 kg for a similarly equipped mira).

I recall reading a blog (via google translate ) listing power records for the kei car engines that had separate records for both stock displacement and oversized engines having a disclaimer at the bottom of the page for oversized engines that apart from a reduction of cylinder wall thickness warns that such

I think an AI can more sufficiently alert the driver of an imminent emergency take-over(and possibly augment the driver’s decision making process) and adjust its level of intervention depending the driver’s subsequent driving actions than for a driver to judge and act on a situation when the AI hands over control.

The RWD celicas were spun off as the supra though and was on the way out by the time of the corolla’s introduction making it toyota’s last cheap RWD sport car

Thankfully that is rear wheel drive most of that is the nose attachment being grafted into this

the new corolla probably uses a 2din radio or atleast already has a dashpiece for use in the JDM market like the new prius did

atleast that radio can be made into a 2 din affair:

or

MPVs are more likely to defy that rule
