I think the issue is that the autonomous vehicle must have atleast the same level of redundancy as that of a human operated vehicle where the driver plays a role similar to that of the central computer and redundancy is provided by standby units either by the one sitting in the passenger seat or another computer.

Only the higher spec trims of the trucklets,vans and grocery carts gets the turbo the rest gets NA with about 38kw(52 hp) depending on how much they can eek out the little 3 and whether it needs a torque peak lower in the rev range (such as in vans and trucks hence even less power).

I doubt that there is a place that allows bus and trucks to speed so why does a speed limiter not come as factory equipment with these things ?
