I thought that Clinton probably should have resigned. But the Republicans were so hell-bent on getting him that I was glad when he basically mocked them throughout that process. A lot of those Republicans are the architects of the current fascism.

Normally, a statesman is simply a dead politician. (If I say we need more statesmen, in all countries, will the Secret Service or RCMP put me under surveillance?)

No way The Donald will be smart enough or able to keep his ego in check enough during his deposition to squabble over the usage of a preposition. It’s going to be like one those SVU episodes where the rapist gets really angry then goes on a incoherent rant and randomly confesses.

Trump loves his ratings, he has to know the impeachment will get bigger ratings than anything else. The sooner he gets impeached and imprisoned the sooner he gets to start bragging to his cell mates about how many people watched it.

My only cold comfort is the longer the GOP waits and does nothing, the more ammunition they give the dems for the next two election cycles...assuming the dems don’t trip on their own feet again and squander this advantage.
