Thank you for this excuse to post a photo of mine...

“420 Blazer” huh?

I owned a turbo version for years. Maintenance wasn’t civic cheap, but it wasn’t terrible either. I definitely suggest you seek one of them out and give them a try. The extra power is exactly what that car needs and if you find epic amounts of turbo lag endearing, it may just be the best car out there for a reasonable

Libertarians typically hunt in packs. It helps justify their positions in their minds.

Ha! I’ve seen a lot of similar “solutions” in the Jeep community. Just look at pretty much anything David Tracy does for example... Hope the cj2a continues to serve him well!

Yes, shocks have a lot to do with it, however, leaf springs have a lot of drawbacks that every person who repeats phrases along the lines of, “They don’t make ‘em like they used to” fail to acknowledge. By the way, the company I work for builds aftermarket Jeep products, specifically suspension systems.

The growth rate is slowing and many industrialized countries are experiencing an aging population such as Japan. That’s got nothing to do with the fact that there are already a glut of human beings on the planet taxing finite resources. So my statement still stands. No need for more children.

They don’t even have leaf springs on their 3/4 ton pickups, what makes you think they would put that under a Jeep? Also, why would you want leaf springs? I get that they’re simple, but they ride like garbage both on and off the trail.

Right on my friend. No need to bring more humans into the world at this point, there are more than enough already, and I am also quite satisfied with my life as is.

Yep, Colorado sucks, no idea why you would want to go there:

Yet, they keep getting tons of views. Clearly there’s a market for people that dream more than they think.

I suppose it’s the architectural equivalent of explaining the difference between an unrestored, genuine Shelby GT500 and some sort of fresh “Elenore-esque”, conversion to a none car person. One might be shiny and new, but has also lost some of it’s character along the way. As an owner/restorer of an original 1950's

Born in Texas, lived there several years throughout my life. I live in California now. There’s nothing that could entice me to move back.

So you’re in defense of deceptive sales tactics?

If you look to the left of the screen, you can see that this jump is actually sponsored by DJI, making me think that this was one of their pilots trying to show off how ‘epic’ the footage or photos are at that point.

Here:

What is warp speed in the Scout? 60 mph is the limit regulated by my 1:1 final drive ratio on the FJ40, never mind that it feels like 150 in a normal car. If you’re ever in for a slow car, off-road challenge of some sorts, count me in.

Don’t worry, he’ll be picked up by Breitbart as a political commentator talk about how persecuted he is for his beliefs, something about political correctness stifling free speech and emerge a poster child for racist conservatives.

Looks like you triggered many a soul with your hp cap proposal, but what about the other part of this theory that states there are many places to use this “excessive” power in a more appropriate environment?

I would love to find a set of “tall skinnys” for the FJ40, more specifically the 33x9.5x15 BFGs, but they have been out of production for a while now. Fitment is better and the look is perfect. I doubt they will ever be made again though. “sad!”
