Side note, does anyone actually splash their face like in the ads? That just seems messy and annoying...
That and at the very end when Olivia makes a wish and a split second later I realized, “Hey, wait, but that means...” And then it’s too late. Both of these moments are masterfully done, giving you just enough time to comprehend what’s happening but not enough time to process and react. Just raw emotion. I was not…
Speaking as a guitar player and former guitar tech and salesman, the thing is... it depends. What works for me may or may not work for you, but I’ll provide some links anyway just to follow the rules. You should get something that you are going to want to pick up and play, otherwise it’s just a waste of money.

For as meh as Halo 5 was, the sound design was incredible. Infinite seems to be a step backward both in visuals and especially in audio. I'm sure I will play it eventually anyway, but still... If the goal was to get me hyped, major flop. All I could think the whole time was, "For all your talk of being the best next…
I don’t think having the same address is part of the YouTube family plan. I have my wife, a friend in a different city, my mom in yet another city, and a friend in a different state all in my "family" and all sharing the benefits of all my Google subscriptions (including Drive, I think). Maybe it's technically the…
Wish I could edit my original post! The latch seems to fix the audio clipping, at least. I was out of town, so I didn't even know there was a patch until now. Cutscenes are probably still the same, but I didn't even know the game had those until I got the DC version a few years ago, so whatever. Game is excellent now.
Razer Kiyo. I had a C920, but it only looked good with tons and tons of light. The settings also reset every time I restarted my computer, so I’d have to change them back every time I used it. With the Kiyo, the light is on the camera and it just looks good right out of the box. All I did was turn off autofocus - and…

I’m also enjoying it, but I really think you should talk about how the cutscenes all run at like 10 FPS and at least one of them plays backward and, most importantly, the audio is mixed so loudly that it distorts. I'm fairly confident the Dreamcast game did not have these problems. It needs some serious patching.
Don't suppose they'll finally start offering high quality streaming for YT Music? I believe it is still stuck at 256 kbps while Play Music goes up to 320 kbps and sounds on par with other streaming services. YT Music is a noticeable downgrade and that's the main reason I'm still using Play Music instead, despite…
I think it would be less about upgrading graphics and more about fixing performance. Even on modern hardware it doesn't run that great compared to other games that look even better.
I must just be lucky to be in an area where Comcast doesn’t have any data caps. Or any of the ISPs here, really.
I dunno, that sounds like exactly the sort of store I wish we had more of. I'd hang out there.
Pet Detective hasn't aged very well IMO, but When Nature Calls is pure gold and no one will ever convince me otherwise. Even if it is, uh, probably pretty racist...
There are some areas made for grinding. For blood vials and bullets, the first area of the game is an easy place to do it. Just run a giant circle around town, reset the area, repeat. The excess vials and bullets are sent back to the Dream, so when you die and respawn, they do refill provided that you have extras in…
I’m the opposite in that I don’t think double jump should exist in any game. It’s such contrived nonsense. They make jumps longer/higher and then end up giving you a double jump to traverse the distance. Why have a double jump at all, then? Just make it a smaller gap/height and let me jump it with a normal, single…
I am also a large hand person and was never a DualShock person until the DS4. I’m still not super keen on the separated directions on the d-pad, but I grew up on rubber dome buttons and the click of the XB1 d-pad just feels wrong (as do the shoulder buttons, for that matter). It’s like a bigger 3DS d-pad instead of a…
I've used the original XB1 d-pad, which I will agree is worse, the S d-pad, and the Elite 1 d-pad. Of those, the S is my favorite, in part because the one on the Elite I bought used doesn't work right and has a weird stickiness to it. I am returning that controller. All of them are vastly inferior to the Dualshock…
I don’t understand how anyone who has ever used literally any other platform’s controller can say the XB1 d-pad is the best for platformers. It is at Best acceptable. My number 1 gripe about XB1 controllers is that MS refused to put something passable on their controllers and that no one else even offers a third party…
Everyone thought I was crazy when I complained about this in the comments of your review, but here we are, finally all in agreement about how stupid it is. That’s the whole reason I cancelled my preorder. Fortuitous, though, as it turns out playing games on the bus makes me motion sick. Bummer.
