I think in the current climate of Tea Party primaries every single cycle there’s a real concern that if you piss off the NRA (and their voters) you’ll be out of a job.

You realize he got 86% of the primary vote in Vermont and won his last reelection campaign with 72%? And that he’s one of the only people in either house of congress who has been elected as a third party running against both a Democrat and a Republican?

My concern is not so much for creative staff but campaign staff, specifically field organizers and directors, who basically work 24/7 for salaries far beneath the new limit. Are so-called progressive politicians willing to put their money where their mouth is and pay their staffers a living wage?
