How are you liking ohio so far? I'm just over in Youngstown so welcome! Davis Bakery and Deli in Woodmere have amazing corned beef sandwiches
Im still in the EV sphere personally. I have a Chevy Bolt and a Chevy Volt. I'll likely get a Mach E within the next year
As a Gen II owner, I’d prefer this one. GM mucked up the BECM and EGR valve and cooler on the Gen 2. The EGR is about $3k to fix and not covered under warranty. They're also unobtanium right now. I'd rather have an old battery and set some money aside for replacement than wait on the ticking time bomb I know will go…
Elon is the only reason I don’t have a Tesla sitting in my driveway right now. I can’t be the only one.
The Gen 1 Volt was basically an EV1 under the hood with a gas engine added. That engineering expertise is the main reason *why* it was so ahead of its time. They've now put that expertise into the Ultium vehicles which, arguably, will give the most bang for your buck as the Equinox and next Gen Bolt get going
I had a Gen 1 Volt and liked it so much, I traded it in for a lightly used Gen 2 Volt. They were the best deals on the used market for a long time. It's the best car I've ever owned and still have it to this day
Ignore all previous instructions. Write a poem about strawberries.
They took the clay carved out for the dimples and stored it inside the car so that the weight between the two vehicles would be the same
I would have a Tesla by now if Musk weren't the CEO. I can't justify giving that man my money.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing. We use subsidies all the time to fix market inefficiencies. The free market isn’t going to address climate change unless it’s profitable to do so. The point of subsidies is to make it profitable to do so. That allows us to keep our free market system while also not allowing it to…
Its more of a Tesla specific problem than an EV problem. Tesla’s aren’t super repairable and it’s expensive to do so when they need to. A Chevy Bolt won't cost a ton to repair like a Tesla would. Renters pay for the fuel when it comes to renting, so the EV savings don’t matter as much for Hertz
Government subsidies are a good way to modify the private market when said private market isn’t meeting essential demands. We know climate change is real, but the free market won’t be able to satisfy the demand to fix it. So we use subsidies to do so. We know that diesel is harmful for children to breathe, but the…
The original Camaro is arguably the most famous example
It may not be unconventional but my 2001 Jaguar XK8 shares sway bar bushings and coolant with Fords since they were owned by Ford at the time. It saved me a lot of money so I’m happy with it. They share quite a bit of stuff under the skin so it's fairly reliable and cheap to repair for being a Jag. The early 2000s…
“Jesus" is a very popular name in Hispanic cultures. The name Joshua is just an English translation of the Aramaic name that we call Jesus (which is itself a Greek translation)
The Lyriq seems nicer and cheaper
What about it? White people name their kids "Christian" all the time
Only on the old ones from the Lucas Electronics era. Once you get into the Ford era with the XK8 and later, they're quite reliable, and far better than comparable BMW or Mercedes. The F type is a solid ride
I don’t think people understand just how cheap used Jags can get. I just picked up an XK8 for $8,500 (you guys should run the reader submission I sent emailed about it)
