Good.

I’m sorry Zack, I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.

I don’t expect things to be forced down my throat, I expect a clear throughline with themes and plots that aren’t just cool shots strung together. I expect an adult examination of the subject matter, not a dudebro’s X-treme, shallow waste of #everal hundred million dollars.

Those were charismatic actors, not fully fleshed out characters

No, that’s what the producers of the movies have told you. And it’s trash

And yet none of those huge world changing things were even touched upon in the movies other than in montages and brief cutaways.  Typical Snyder. The most superficial appearance of thought and depth.

The Donner cut is painful, even more cringe than the original Lester version of the second film. There is exactly one good superman film that has ever been made.

The excuse of them killing in their formative years doesn’t really hold up. That’s like the first season or two of a Star Trek show. The characters aren’t even fully formed yet so it’s just a bad metric.

I never understood why Clark had to kill to figure out that he shouldn’t kill. Which he goes right back to doing in MoS and JL. There’s NO way that terrorist guy survived being smashed through multiple brick walls at speed, and of course everyone happily slaughters Parademons by the hundreds. At least they could’ve

I stopped reading after the fifth or so dig at Marvel (you critics can stop using fun/smile/jokes as shorthand for shallow and childlike, it’s really okay to like those movies, you don’t have to be embarrassed because your pretense of snobbery demands it) and also after several factual mistakes (Superman went to his

HOW could anyone physically just chill there and calmly be swallowed by a tornado? You’d certainly be dead from flying debris or pressure variances or something sciences like that before the tornado just kind of envelopes you like a curtain of mist. You

JJ has no regard for space, time, distance, or any other properties regarding physical location in reality.

Hahaha all the mysteries...yes all the deep questions. Who’s this stock bad guy? Who are the parents, another thrilling question. Mystery mystery mystery!

That’s pretty much exactly it, down to exporting major plot points to ancillary merchandise. What a hack.

....no. Not one of his movies is on par w the vast majority of the MCU.

Please no. He does not possess the capacity to create real emotional depth in characters; his logic regarding set and setting is awful; he constantly rips off other, better artists; therefore he needs to stay away from the MCU, and preferably all filmmaking for the rest of eternity.

Counterpoint: that’s your opinion. Mine is that it’s quite good. Excellent, even. Which is also only my opinion.

I’ll never understand this. To me it doubled down on and amplified the worst aspects of the first two. Just pure stupidity on tap.

He was perfect in Power Rangers. Unfortunately the entire movie was trash but he was perfectly trash along w it. Knew what he was doing. I’m a grownup but I watched the shows in the 90s at an unhealthily-too-old age so I am biased.

Could tell this was the worst kind of sentimental dreck just from the poster in the theater.
