you already got mine mate.
Anyone remember the trope The Dev Team Things of Everything? It got renamed to Developer’s Foresight a few years ago. It’s infinitely less cooler, despite being more accurate in its intent.
I remember that they hit 2 million an hour into the second-last run. I had to work afterwards unfortunately, but that means... they gathered 1 million within the remaining 7 hours of the marathon? Wow.
God bless you Carbot.
So they gave the gravity gun a Katamari Damacy mode? Sounds legit.
I have mixed opinions about this.
I’m fine with this. Destiny 2 is also available on other platforms, and the cross-save feature could allow for some casual play while traveling, so you can focus on the more demanding gameplay parts like raids at home.
I don’t blame him for Tales of Vesperia. That game is a beast in terms of missable content. Well, all Tales games are to some degree, but the amount of sidequests which have to be done at this exact moment during the main storyline is really high.
Someone posted this on twitter. Not sure if this is the same thing you meant, but it’s interesting to read nonetheless.
I think he was just trying to come up with a summary based in the facts/links he collected in the article. But I agree that a follow-up article on exclusives would be in order.
How did Nathan Grayson became a supporter of Epic? His article on the criticism on the Epic store seems to just lay out all the facts, but he doesn’t take sides.
Is it really that difficult to accept that the characters fight together for gameplay’s sake, rather than trying to justify it with a story? It’s eight standalone stories, so what?
Yes, there exist 2D JRPGs games that have a better story (where is my Grandia remaster?) but for what it is, I was moderately-entertained…
You guys have missed the best one yet. Go check out the Diablo subreddit.
I think we need to differentiate between skill trees and choices in RPGs and other genres.
Super Bunnyhop did an analysis of the first level of every Sonic game a few years ago. It’s not as in-depth as the Mario video, but still interesting for those of you who haven’t played all the games in the series:
I’m in the opposite boat, I like the story and don’t mind the separate nature of each character’s story at all. However, don’t like the combat system (after 20 hours or so). Trying to min-max every turn gets tiring after a while.
The base building thing isn’t new, though. While it’s just a custom map and not a game mode as part of the main game, Team Fortress 2 does have something called Fort Wars:
And so the circle is complete. These games used to be GameCube-exclusive, but were ported to other platforms since then. (Edit: Totally forgot, they also appeared on the Wii as well!)
