Was talking to Houston Center (air traffic control) last night (Tuesday) and someone on frequency asked how they were holding up. The controller said he has been there since Sunday. These guys are working hard to keep the planes flying.

Obviously this situation was unacceptable and I would be angry had it happened to me. This shouldn’t happen.

Just what we need up in the flight levels. Folks that need a highway in the sky to get from point A to B.

Not as simple as that. It was most likely flight crew and they need a minimum 10 hours rest prior to duty. Time spent in transportation doesn’t count toward those 10 hours. It is cheaper to buy off a few passengers to get the crew in position than to delay or cance the flight in the following morning and then…
