Tsuchiya isn’t a tall guy and the Ioniq 5 is deceptively big but he’s absolutely dwarfed in that promo shot. Looks like a child standing next to that thing.

Indeed. I’m an engineer but don’t work on bridges but it is common practice to bake in a safety factor into designs. Bridges should be over engineered to a certain degree, I would take a worst case scenario of a traffic jam with the span packed with trucks and engineer to that spec. One overloaded vehicle should not

This is an absolute engineering failure. Any engineer should be able to work out the forces on the joints and loads on the truss, it’s something you learn first year in a statics class. The fact that there’s widely available software that does all the calculations and simulations for you (after you model it) means

I would love to switch over to EVs one day once all our current vehicles are at the end of their lives. However since the pandemic and switching to fully remote work our family just doesn’t drive enough to make that switch anytime soon. Once the vehicles get used up, EVs are most likely the choice as long as there are

I’m not a fan of their current design language but the Lexus Nori Green Pearl is an excellent color.

Absolutely the city should have done something about it but you have a city that is facing budget shortfalls and an overflowing shelter system with asylum seekers bused into the city daily. The homeless issue is not new and it has been mismanaged perpetually. Look up Thrive NYC, the program headed up by former mayor

My second gen Honda Fit. I loved that car, it had the 5 spd manual, was great on gas, reliable, fun to drive and could absolutely inhale anything you wanted to put inside.

probably considered a convertible or a roadster rather than a coupe.

Sometime in the mid late 90's, I was about 17 shopping for a used car with my dad in NYC. At the time the internet wasn’t yet a thing and shopping for a used car meant scouring the newspaper/local used car magazines, auto auctions, or visiting and walking the dealer lots. The process was time consuming to say the

I get that you’re trying to make a big impact with the slogan but it comes with a bit of an attacking tone. Something like “Automobile alternatives” or whatever might work better but the slogan isn’t even the point.

This sort of makes sense for Stellantis especially with the push others are making towards EV, gives them a niche. If they are known as one of the few that do still offer big V8s I suppose there are people that still want them. Without it then they’re another Nissan.

Honestly the best answer I can give is: none. Take yourself and research the areas you want to visit and the transportation options available. Rent a vehicle or take public transport. Learn how to ride a motorbike in the event you need to rent one to get around a city. In a lot of places having a vehicle is a burden.

Instead of cutting out a chunk to get to the weld nut can you drill a smaller hole enough for a spray tube and use a penetrant like PB on the weld nut end? That way you’d just spot weld that hole instead of a larger chunk when you close it up. Then wait a bit for the PB to work and try to torque it out. Maybe find

Probably could have gotten a better response if he just slapped on some black steelies.

Dude was just too excited to celebrate the first anniversary of patriots day and just decided on a small scale reenactment.

Exactly, but let him spout. Hopefully some of the red hats aren’t as weakminded, can actually reason, and see how ridiculous their conspiracies are.  Here you go full display.

I’m glad things have been kind of sorted out but you should really consider moving. From what you’re saying there are definitely people there that do not like you and will do whatever it takes to make your life hell. Now you’ve got who knows how many perps in jail and others loose who know exactly where you live. I’d

We had a dog named Dicky. It was a funny name that we enjoyed using in public. Apparently Dicky is also another term for old style rumble seats where you could banish hated members of the family.

That’s not my experience. I traded in my car to one of the dealers on the automile in Norwood a couple years ago and they handed me the plates. You’re supposed to recycle or destroy them but there is no need to turn them in to the RMV.
