Oh, I want to add a pic of me and Wendy. This is from the Dec. 14th opening of her Ft. Worth field office. I was in town for my sister's graduation. She graduated with a degree in political science from Texas Women's the day before. Meeting her and being there with my sister was like a dream come true.

I love her so much! Still excited that I ran into her at the grocery store on my birthday! Texas will be BLUE!

Super excited Texas lady here...I actually got to meet her when she came to town. I shook her hand. I was more stupid giggly than the time when I met James Carville and babbled about cheese. Here's a picture I took while standing at the back of the room, giggling like a maniac.

My mom doing Motocross back in the 80's.

I don't understand why the only two items in this Dirt Bag weren't just the Lupita Nygong'o and Meryl Streep bits, because those were the only two worth reading. MOAR LUPITA!

Hear Me Roar: Women, Motorcycles, and the Rapture of the Road by Ann Ferrar is full of great stories about the history of women motorcyclists. It's great fun.
I got my motorcycle license in 1992. I strenuously recommend taking the motorcycle safety course offered by your local DMV. Most women don't grow up riding

I do some work for a wealthy athlete and he has an animal charity. One day one of his employees came to me in tears - she couldn't get the pictures off of her camera and she was distraught that she'd lose all of the photos of her kid's birthday party. As I ran the card through some recovery software I had she told

I've posted this BBC documentary a couple of times, so I apologise if anyone is sick of seeing it. The title isn't helpful, but hey, baby steps. The programme makes a great argument for ensuring that trans women in particular get access to the health care they need before puberty, and why a society that wants you to

The only places I want to see boobies are in advertising, in the titty bar, in movies, in music videos, in video games, in email forwards from my friends, in the porn I habitually download, in the porn sent to my spam folder, in magazines, on nearly every website, in my dreams/fantasies, and alongside the articles in

The nice thing about being a dude at a pantsless book club is that you don't have to worry about losing your bookmark.

So, no Dancer in the Dark, no Carmen Jones, no Porgy and Bess, no Busby Berkeleys, NO BOLLYWOOD AT ALL? What about The Jazz Singer, the first talkie AND a musical? I feel like this is "The Best Movie Musicals, lite, or, a list for people who don't actually know anything about musicals."

Adding this to the list as a great piece of college reading that has stuck with me for over a decade. A little less specific as it's a collection focused on women of color more broadly, but worthy for book club consideration nonetheless: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_Brid…

Sorry but I don't support this man and I wish the Black community (and everyone else) would stand up more when Black women and girls are sexually abused.

just to state once again for the B"ZILLIONTH time - there is NO BAD FOOD unless it is spoiled or moldy or rotten.

Anyone else feel creeped out when he was watching her through the binoculars?

I can kind of see this statement in a way that is less than totally sad. I would definitely, absolutely hate for a little girl's spirit to be quashed. I reigned myself in a lot as a young girl due to social pressure; it led to a lot of depression and anxiety. It sucks. What I can understand here, however, is being a

Man, that made me feel soo sad. I love when little girls are ever-so-slightly nuts and silly. She shouldn't have her little spirit crushed because of stupid rules that say girls have to be pretty, silent show-pieces.
