Typo on the year of the original movie: 1986 not 68.

This. This is the reason. It's all about boosting his status among his pornified bros. The fella can brag about how he was chosen by this totally hot, professional sex-making lady which makes him really, really special. And of course, the sex-making was hot-hot-hot, hotter than the movies, even! He totally made her

Thanks for the tip!

Oh! One love from long ago: "Naughty Bits" featuring Bitchy Bitch (aka Midge McCracken), by Roberta Gregory.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm way out of the comics world these days. My interest was re-piqued by a main-paged post yesterday from Groupthink about women and comics (a vlog you can find at ilikecomicstoo.com). Someone in the comments mentioned Ms. Marvel, a reboot featuring a young Muslim girl as the hero. "Hmmm...." I

A friend was out west a number of years ago and saw a for-sale sign on the side of the road for "Cuddly, Yummy Bunnies."

I liked them, especially Give Me Liberty and Goes to War. The one-offs are less interesting to me. It's totally worth your time on the floor of a comic shop to read them.

Serendipity! I went to a comic shop today to buy Ms. Marvel - it's likely been 10+ years since the last time I've been in a store. While wandering the aisles, I flashed back to buying the original Martha Washingtons when they came out.

I'm with you. I love this.

I stayed in a yurt in North Georgia. It had a composting toilet inside.

Thank you for this. I am also in recovery. And I think PSH's death has resonated and reverberated as much as it has because "addition" and "alcoholism" is so often disguised by "anonymity." "[T]hose with certain privileges" do have more access to treatment but it is also easier for them to hide these afflictions.

A writer I admire, Jeff Sharlet, spent time in Russia last fall to report on its persecution of LGBT citizens. I highly recommend the article that came out of his trip. Be warned. It's infuriating and heartbreaking.

Thank you, All! Not drinking is the easy part. It's dealing with the underlying issues/the pain that led me to seek solace in booze that's hard. Living with the pain is a struggle. And one I suspect PSH felt as well. My heart hurts for him.

I too reacted out loud. Really sad. I'm just over a year sober (booze was my bane) and it's such a struggle. I mourn the loss of this brilliant man. Rest in Peace.

So loved Man on Wire. Humans are amazing.

Also "Smiley Face" (2007) with Anna Faris as an unrepentant stoner.

What?! You don't think Vin Armani is his real name? That maybe he just designed it?

Did y'all pay for this? I hope not. Maybe just a partner swap with XOJane? Both the content and delivery were awful. Reads like a speech for Toastmasters.

Brilliant pairing of product and spokesperson. Props to Derrick and Duracell.
