Artful, beautiful, excellent work here

“Fuck those people with good educations who move to DC for a well-paying job and like to enjoy a night out at the ballpark without really caring about the Nats since they are probably from another city with a better team.” I bet you live Columbia Heights and bitch about gentrification while ironically drinking a PBR

particularly since saying Papelbonvoyage to the reliever in August

The classic joke that “The Nationals stole their logo from Walgreen’s, team from Canada, and fans from Baltimore” applies here.

I had never been to Navy Yard before the Nats opened that stadium. Now I go a few times a month and am blown away by how much has popped up. I also know people who have bought the 2 million dollar condos there instead of a house in Georgetown because it’s a fun neighborhood.

This site already discussed that the district paid $700M for that stadium. It was not going to pay a penny more to put sprinkles and whipped cream to gussy up that vanilla slab.

Plainly, D.C.’s a town full of losers

Sometimes I wish something would happen to create bad blood between the Nats and Mets. Has to be the friendliest division rivalry in sports.

FedEx field being mere miles is a bit disingenuous. No one i know would take free luxury suite tickets to a see a game in that shit hole much less live next to it.

Best fan gif so far!

I’ve lived and worked in the city for 15 years and experienced the whole transformation. People tell me I’m an outsider shithead despite paying the highest tax bracket and using virtually no programs (having no kids, etc). People tend to believe their situation is the right way to view the world at that moment.

Petworth is bananas these days- still pretty affordable by DC standards but it’s really blowing up. Some great restaurants and bars up there, though some good ones have also been driven out by rent (RIP Domku).

If being born in DC, living in and around the city in various locations, working in the city my entire adult life, and regularly frequenting the area I was discussing, both for the stadium but more often not for the stadium makes me an outsider, then so be it.

I live in DC and work in Navy Yard and have since 2008. How was the deal backbreaking? Personally, I am a huge fan of the stadium and I am not buying that it was the Department of Transportation that has led to the bars/restaurants/condos/Whole Foods/Trader Joes, etc. that are popping up left and right. $700 mill for

Since when does the losing team take a knee?

He’s caught by a photo, he’ll be lucky to get it down to Shenanigans.

Surely his lawyer can plea bargain his Mischief charge down to Tomfoolery.

His punishment will almost certainly be a lifetime ban from Blue Jays games. Or, if he has a really good lawyer, he’ll get a lifetime ban from Blue Jays and Leafs games.

Per a release from the TPS

Any deprivation of Verne Lundquist is a national tragedy, though.
