As a current food court employee, I have to say the pizza saucer is a blessing and a curse. When it breaks down (a fairly rare occurrence), most of my coworkers don’t know how to perform the simple task of doing the job by hand, so it falls to me since I’m one of the poor souls who used to do the job old-school. Also,

I was wondering why the chain woke back up this morning.

I bought my dad vouchers for a Kings game for Christmas since he hadn’t seen a game in the new arena yet. He had a choice of 10 or so games, and settled on the Portland game because “I think the Kings have the best shot at winning that game.” The way Lillard looked by halftime I was predicting 75 last night. When the

Inspired by the choice of song for DUAN, what band have you seen in concert the most? Mine is definitely Jimmy Eat World, with quite a few bands (The Format, Phantom Planet, The Hives, Motion City Soundtrack to name a few) vying for the second position.

Our Chihuahua claims all pillows as her own. And most blankets.

I spent a year at ASU and the only restaurant that was open late that I could use my meal plan money on was Domino’s. This was during the days of the 5-5-5 deal. I had enough extra money on my plan that I frequently bought pizzas for my friends (and saved one for myself). I hated it every single time, but what are you

Before typing this I already feel like a pretentious douche, but here goes...

Hey, my father in-law lives in Auburn!

Seeing the Sonic’s hanging from the ceiling reminded me of my wedding, of all things. We had a plan to have Sonic and Mario hanging out on the rafters but they wouldn’t sit properly and kept falling no matter what we did, even tied them, to no avail. Our solution was to tie them to the rafters, which actually looked

Oh trust me, I’m aware. Went to ASU (for a whole year!) and still have friends down there, and I catch myself referring to it as The Bob all the time.

So we have horses to defend a body of water, and a bobcat mascot for a team named after a snake.

I enjoyed it more the second time around, not that I didn’t like it the first. I picked up on more, basically. I’m cautiously optimistic about the new one.

Now playing

Just rewatched the original last night, going to a 7:00 IMAX showing tomorrow night. Since DUAN posts need music this is El-P’s attempt at the score:

I was at this game, and it was just demoralizing watching this guy tear through the UCLA defense with ease. My dad and I just started laughing at every big run after the third quarter, because it was obvious we weren’t gonna stop him. And to think, we had hope that Rosen could lead them to victory...

The statue should stay where it is!

Sacramento River Rats (not to be confused with the River Cats, the AAA baseball affiliate of the Giants)

I’d say look at @ClueHeywood, but I’m not convinced he isn’t just a random dude that used to be a lawyer that spends his days in dive bars.

I have a friend who played catcher through high school (and still does in the occasional adult league), and it seems at least once a year he posts the video of Buster Posey getting his leg broken as an example of players today being soft, and how the new rules are bullshit.

No wonder he was such a great pitcher — he was able to hit his spots both inside and out.
