Yes!! USAA is the best company I've ever ever ever dealt with. I lived overseas for a decade and they were totally invaluable to me.

Yes. Totally true! I try to use the techs first name as much as possible and then let them know it's not their fault if it isn't.

Damn. Some of these sound like pretty decent customer service here...either that or every customer service experience I've ever had was total shit.

OMG. I have the exact same story from the inside/outside tech guy above. Finally spoke to one of 5 regional managers for the entire United States to get it resolved. The only difference was that my pole connection was ONTOP of my neighbors house...which, yeah...wtf is that about?!?
