I hope you're not an asshole yourself... Oh wait.

Yeah. It's easy, just saying I have no frame of reference because I learned in almost 12 years into a programming career. I learned it on the job like most other languages I still use. How is it transferring into, say, C++?
It's an interpreter/interpreted script. So leverage makes sense to me. But dammit all if arguing scripting versus programming languages on the internet is the best way to spend my Sunday morning. I'm simply pointing out why people call it a scripting language and how it really doesn't matter.
I love PHP. But it was only easy to learn because of past languages (for me personally). I'm really glad it wasn't my first language
I do agree with that! I learned it in college along with COBOL. However the languages that got me excited about programming are the ones I'm still using.
Eh, everyone I know refers to JS as a scripting language that leverages other languages... But most people don't care. So strictly speaking, it's not a programming language... Practically speaking no one gives a fuck. :)
Ah, you'll never use it again. Ever. Ever. Ever - though you are right, it's easy to pick up and helps with the thinking process So viability makes it not best, but again it begs the question behind the question: is the intention to learn just one language or to set yourself up to learn others in progression.
Yeah, it's easier if your intentions are to learn one language. But going from Ruby to C would be quite a shock, I'd imagine.
My first answer was going to be PHP but then I remembered that picking that up was easy because I already knew other languages, so Id be curious how a complete beginner would adapt to it.
COBOL!
I tried I buy a car on craigslist once. Worse decision ever. I met some of the planets weirdest humans.
Are you suggesting we bomb mosques?
UNICEF pennies are dangerous and lethal!!
They training for these is out of Jacksonville (Little Rock) Arkansas. So people in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas see them regularly.
How about the ~750,000 Cambodians we bombed during the Vietnam war? You know, those guys who were nice enough to let us use their airstrips ... then We turned around and bombed northern Cambodian civilians because we thought the Vietcong were there. After that, and really just to add insult to injury, we all but…
And you think those guys are using this technique? That's the point. Right?
:D. I'm just lashing out from an childhood of overbearing parents And a strong realization that governments basically know everything they could possibly want to know about me. (The USA secretly and seamlessly stealing my information is much MUCH less annoying that China breaking into my apartment all the time). I…
Speaking from experience, file fault is an excellent way to ruin your life and make your boss angry at you!
Another solution is to realize no one gives a fuck about your computer. That probably solves the bigger issue...
Why stop there? Let's cover the entire damn computer in Saran wrap. And then take the battery and HD out and ship it to our final destination separately! and make sure you turn your modem of in the evenings. There are Facebook hackers out there!!!
