This is fine. I like the home button. I hope they keep the SE-with-a-home-button line as an option forever, honestly.

I have a non-traditional contribution to this thread: Outer Wilds. It is a perfect game to have an experienced player at the wheel, and a non-gamer in the backseat, giving instructions. All of the environmental “puzzles” are extremely intuitive and don’t require a deeper understanding of video games to solve. And it

“You can be respectful of the tragedy of someone’s passing, while still feeling glad that they are no longer around to hurt anyone anymore.”

Sure, but perhaps that’s the system working as intended. As long as your targets didn’t regen back any damage you dealt, you meaningfully contributed to those kills.

I dunno, I’d prefer the “all assists count as kills” approach (or, alternatively, the “total damage” approach). This one seems a little arbitrary. Why specifically 1/3?

Reminds me of this tweet from Nintendo’s indie account a while back. Significantly much less squick, but the thirst level of Nintendo’s social media peeps seems to be a known quantity.

Any thoughts on TCL’s software? How close is it to stock Android? Are the custom TCL additions pretty nice, if any?

Not relevant to the topic at all, but man, I adore the hell out of that concept art, and really miss when Destiny felt like that.

It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that this new 4K Switch might come with USB4. Limiting 4K to docked mode is the only way I could see them striking any meaningful balance between battery and performance, honestly.

A little surprised that—out of all the supposedly 11 devs who would leak this information—literally none of them mentioned anything about whether it’s gonna functionally be the same chipset with AI-assisted upscaling slapped on as originally reported, or if it’s gonna be actually meaningfully improved hardware that

I don’t get it. Players are complaining about not getting enough free stuff?

Gamers when a Sony studio makes memes of their game:

Honestly, I wouldn’t even say this is as big of an issue as us not being able to jump to replies from the link in our notifications.

Also the “I Still Can’t Listen To Genshin Impact’s Inaccurate English Voice Acting” article, where they explain that it’s actually the translation and direction that they dislike, and then point out how this kind of misdirected ire often leads to a lot of abuse being unfairly hurled at the voice actors.

Interesting question. My hypothesis: ethnocentrism.

That plus him calling the SN750 SE a “low-end” drive raises a lot of eyebrows.

I’m just not particularly fond of Chrome’s UI on iOS.

I would rather accidentally credit people who worked 10 minutes on a project then intentionally not credit people who worked 100 hours on it.

Shoulder melee seems to have become the go-to lately, simply because it lets you control the camera while in combat. I first saw it in Dark Souls, and then again in Horizon Zero Dawn, and then again in the Assassin’s Creed trilogy. To be honest, as someone who comes from a shooter background… it makes way more sense
