To be fair, that’s at the very least painted as Not A Good Thing.

Pretty much. The only thing I can think of that would be more pathetic than these getting changed is anyone who might stir shit over them getting changed.
On one hand, these are such small changes to such old achievements that I find them almost trivial to the point of not being worth changing.
Destiny’s universe is not one where you are a hero
The sad irony was that during the current gen, PS4 was touted as the consumer friendly option after Xbox bungled its launch so badly with so many anti-consumer policies right out of the gate.
As much as I love the state that Destiny is in today, I just hope they can find a way to fix the “vibe” of the game by the time The Final Shape comes around. Since at least The Taken King, Destiny’s atmosphere has consistently been this overwhelming sense of dread. It abated a bit with Rise of Iron, Age of Triumph,…
Schmigadoon could have been better. All of the songs are amazing but, up until the most recent episodes, very few of them move the plot forward. And the thing that disappoints me most is that there’s no to-and-fro. The singers don’t react to the main characters’ interruptions by incorporating responses to them into…
Aren’t controller and MKB players separated in matchmaking by default? I play both PC and Xbox and I’ve literally never encountered anyone tap-strafing on Xbox.
Their eyes don’t move at all. That’s probably a huge reason why.
A redemption wouldn’t be all that hard to believe, honestly. There’s an entry in the Book of Sorrows where Savathûn questions whether their journey to prove themselves worthy of existence by way of destroying everything else that might possibly become a threat (aka The Sword Logic) is actually the right path.

Holy shit, that lighting is gorgeous though. I thought the gif was real footage for a second.
Ah yes. The classic Cascading Failure. A thing that goes catastrophically wrong, causally linked to an endless chain of other Things That Go Catastrophically Wrong that all set off Even More Things That Go Catastrophically Wrong. Like a circular row of dominos, except each domino is an open oil drum filled with…
To be fair, I wouldn’t hold a Kotaku commenter to the same standards as an editor at a venerated rag.
This is interesting to hear. And it’s also heartening to hear that they’re using smart tactics, instead of the dev team just cranking their accuracy and reaction times up stupidly high. (Looking at you, CoD. Enemies that can snipe you with a Thompson from 300m away while you’re hiding in a bush is not how to do high…
How far did you get?
I’ve seen this a lot. There’s this incredibly difficult balance to be struck between onboarding players in a tantalizing way, but also not showing all of your cards at once. I adore Outer Wilds, it’s honestly my favorite game of all time, but the reality of its genre as a mystery that you uncover on your own means it…
Quality of life, please.
