Buying a suv for the 3rd row is nonsense. Unless towing or 4 wheeling,......minivan !

This makes sense. At least in rural canada, the defacto offroad vehicle is a crewcab 4wd pickup truck. Forestry, mining, construction, farmers and regular private buyers.  Jeep wants a slice of that market.

I’m guessing batteries are getting cheaper so maybe, maybe, it will be worth it to get the hybrid despite the price difference. Unless you live in the sticks and drive mainly rural roads.
