This tiny house trend has always been stupid garbage non trend. It was touted as the way to get around insane house prices. The real price killer for home ownership is the price of the lot. A tiny home in SF, NYC, Vancouver or whatever is still going to be crazy expensive.

Blast the heater right away !   You don’t need to do this after you stop. And if possible coast in neutral to spot where you want to pull over to keep airflow going on an idling engine. A nice gentle descent is ideal. Then jump out and pop the hood.

A bike. Even if the roads are not bike friendly he can bike the same route he walks. I’m sure the sidewalks are not crammed with pedestrians either. Even on grass or dirt a bike is faster. Yeah its hot as hell but at least on a bike you get some breeze. Its much cooler biking at 100 degrees than walking.
