I’m gonna be generalizing a bit here, but it has surprised me to see/hear how many people around here are so opposed to paying taxes! They want all the nice stuff the taxes provide but they don’t understand that they actually have to pay the taxes in order for that to happen.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that thought they looked a like.

I just say the activity I need to be sure I did outloud. “The front door is locked.” “The garage door is closed.” And that helps me remember. Same concept, but more specific so I can’t transfer the anxiety over the front door being unlocked to the stove being left on.

Same. I have some autopays set up so I like having that visual of what I actually have via my spreadsheet versus what the bank is telling me I currently have.

Edited to add: It also helps me see during my monthly budget period what is “left over at the end” that I can then throw into savings and start each two payday…

I got way too high on a brownie once. My high paranoia, for some reason, is always that “everyone will know that you’re high!” and I don’t want that for whatever dumb reason. I’m with friends or at a bar, why would it matter? Anyway, this time I was way too high I convinced myself that I shouldn’t even move or talk…

I don’t strain it. I save glass jars (salsa, jam, etc) and just pour it in there after it’s cooled a wee bit but not started to solidify then store it in the fridge.

Years and years ago I was walking a path through the woods with my sister, mom, and grandma and we just felt like we were being followed. We finally spotted a raccoon in the woods....stalking us. I’ve not trusted the adorable little fuckers since.

My mom used to mix the two together and called it tartar sauce for our fish sticks, so to me I’m all “why are they acting like this tartar sauce is something special?”

I, somehow, killed all of my succulents with the exception of aloe. *sigh*
