I’m an Old (41) and I assure you skinny jeans didn’t exist in the 90s. Flared jeans, bootcut jeans, and wide JNCO style was about all you had to chose from in the mid to late 90s. Oh, and tapered jeans but those were deemed hideous by most.

I would like to believe that sentiment. However, to put it in perspective the Columbine shooting occurred in 1999. Almost 20 years ago. Those “kids” are well into their 30s.

I am in CT (hi neighbor!) and it doesn’t get much bluer that this. I appreciate the suggestions!

Universal health care.

I have a hand in drafting and updating policies for my company. I just updated our emergency response plan to include active shooter response (e.g. what employees should or shouldn’t do). It is something we all need to think about, unfortunately.

Thank you for the links!

Yes.

I feel the same way. I am from one of the most liberal states, so my elected officials are already fighting. I donate money to organizations that help the cause. I vote. I still feel like I need to do more. I am not sure what else we can do. Volunteer time? But to what or who?

I agree with your post with exception to one geographic quibble: Springfield is a half hour from Amherst. You could be in Boston in less than 2 hours!

In New England where I grew up, there are plenty of Catholic schools that aren’t really that religious. Many non-religious families would use the private parochial schools as an alternative to the town/city’s public schools.

“and salicylic acid, which is the BHA we all know and love from days of using Clearasil or Stridex pads in middle school.”

Like you, I’ve never had the desire to have children (I’m 41 and married). When nosey people (unfortunately it’s usually women, usually mothers) ask about our lack of children, I am honest. None of this “ooohhh the world is s scary place, how could I bring a baby into this world!” BS. I tell them I have never had the

Woo = pseudoscience...unproven, non-evidence based ideas. Like sticking jade eggs up your lady parts.

Is wiw tum an actual thing?

Me neither! I forgot Paul was even a character in the show until I read the comments.

I am 41 years old and never had the flu. I’m careful about hand washing, not touching my face, etc. I also don’t have germy kids in my house. However, I’m guessing it’s just a matter of time before my luck runs out. None of us are immune, it’s just a mixture of chance, hygiene habits of you and those you live with,

Wrong. New Englanders would call it a grinder, not hoagie.

However, Pilates was invented by a German man named Joseph Pilates (seriously).

I never knew I needed a TDAP booster until a recent well visit to my new primary care physician. Free with insurance and now vaccinated against whooping cough. Yay!
