Pootie Tang is, unironically, my favorite movie.

There are times when we need to step back and appreciate the fact half of this episode is about a mad scientist and his army of clones turning people into monsters on an alien planet, and the other half’s about a 19th Century sorcerer changing reality into a cartoon and being defeated through song.

“I’m just a regular guy with no super serum. All I have are my wits and this $45 billion suit and this unbreakable shield and the power of flight and this drone filled with plot tech and my best friend that is a 100 year old super soldier.”

I don’t even know how to respond to this, considering it starts by questioning if blowing up a bunch of helpless hostages you yourself tied up is really a war crime.

Budos Band just dropped a new single from the album they’re releasing in October:

A Love Supreme by Coltrane. The gong, the sax, the splashy drums going into the roll; I’m almost disappointed when the bassline kicks in. Almost.

Contains possibly the best line in a vampire film ever...

“Now I don’t wanna hear anything about “I don’t believe in vampires”, because I don’t believe in vampires! But I believe in my own two eyes, and what I saw was fucking vampires.”

I will remember this movie primarily for being my first introduction to Salma Hayek. HOLY SHIT. Off-the-charts sexiness. I guarantee there were people who saw her in this movie who were unsure about their sexual preference and after that were like “now I know.”

Wow I feel like I missed quite a few of these! I really enjoyed The Whistlers, I can still recall a lot of scenes from memory, I always think that’s a good sign.

SAY WHAAAAAAAAT?

Khruangbin not being mentioned is an insult. Amazing band and album to chill with. Tarantino like sounds are amazing

Horizon Zero Dawn had one of the hauntingly beautiful stories ever told

I need this

The quarantine beards are really something else.

Wow, Grant Gustin looks weird with a beard.

BEEBO LO-LO-LOVES LEGENDS OF TOMORROW! Same, our one true blue god, same!

i like when his eyes light up!

Exactly.  That said, I was disappointed he didn’t kill Celeste’s master and/or the master’s friends.

Except, of course, now we know where The Beach Boys got it from...

Same about Nick and Zari. I was so excited to see Zari 1.0, even though I also completely love Zari 2.0. Then the romance stuff started and I was all “oh right this again ...eh, whatever” I’m interested to see how they resolve having two Zaris. Would be OK with an Orphan Black like spinoff where Tala Ashe plays a team

I’ve never been completely on board with Nate and Zari Original Flavor (ambivalent, mostly), but, damn, those looks he shot her way this episode? Way to sell it, bud.*
