A few nights ago I was walking the dog after dark when two dudes get into a car up the block, turn the key, and floor it RIGHT AT ME. The dog and I jumped out of the way and I shouted something incoherent, but the driver doesn’t slow down, he just swerves slightly and keeps going. As he went by, I caught a glimpse

I’m gonna need some data on the drunk driving stats in Nairobi to believe a “probably” claim LOOOOOOOL

Shit, everyone in the US drives drunk at some point. Seen it in Joliet IL and Minneapolis and Phoenix and San Diego.

Meanwhile in places like Nairobi probably 40% of the population drives drunk regularly and a way higher % have at some point and yet, people survive”. I hear way more stories of deaths from dd from the USA than I do from Kenya.

He’s damn lucky he got charges dropped. A DWI(u), like a traffic ticket, is almost impossible to beat.

Do you know in my 11.5 years at Darden how many days I called off? Zero.

Generally, but particularly in retail/service, people don’t quit a job, they quit a manager.

I’ve watched that channel and it is informative, but I wouldn't talk or react to the police like some of them do. Remember, they have an absolute, unquestionable license to kill, and some of them are eager to use it.

There are NO good cops.

Glad to see Toyota read my answer for QOTD the other day, you're welcome Toyota!

I guess it goes to show that there is a size of SUV’s people don’t want.

Nice to have some good news today.  Good Lord this things are hideous!

With used car prices sinking they are in big trouble. they have been over paying for inventory and now that decision is going to come back to get them

Two that come to mind are the Canoo platform van and truck, and the Aptera which was designed specifically for efficiency. But like it was said by other commenters, cars have been basically the same for 100 years, and people like seeing what they are used to seeing. Change happens over generations. Though making EVs

i just about bought a car from them last week, but used their price online to buy an identical car locally. Of note - they offered me more for my trade than anyone else - so i was able to take that trade in price and shop it around at the local dealerships, so in a way they really helped me out.

im interested, is there anything like this i can see? i cant picture what’s even possible.. do you mean like a race car?

The Aventador makes 531 lb-ft at 6,750 rpm, the Kia makes 545 lb-ft at 1 rpm… Im not so sure anyone should be that “impressed” by this result.

I just wanted to air my complaint about EV design. Almost every EV has an engine bay in the front that doesn’t seen to serve any purpose other than to make the car look like what people are used to. It doesn’t need to be there. Even on designed from the ground up EVs they still add the engine bay even though it

that Lamborghini V12 shriek has got to be worth something.”
