There's a Peeps store at the Mall of America. It's pretty nifty. They have a huge sampling bar for various one-off flavors of Mike and Ike too, such as the surprisingly delicious Jalepeno. It's like sweet + spicy + pickle, and tastes better than that description sounds.

Slightly stale peeps are nifty; I dig the slight "crunch" of the outer shell when they've been open for a couple of days.

It's a new article, give it a minute!

It actually looks much more polished than I'd expect from an alpha from a "small team."

Ooh boy, God Of War: Wrath of Christ. Fox News would explode like a neutron bomb.

Not intentionally. Funny in a cartoonishly over-the-top super srs kind of way. All that angst makes me smirk.

Naw, they were both three year old PCs and had been used for nonstop gaming (we used to play WoW thirty hours a week). Everything decided to explode at once and I didn't have the money to keep up. So now we're down to one PC with no graphics card, and I have no real will to get it gaming-ready as my consoles keep me

You know, "better AI" is something that's always eluded me. I hear people talk about it, often complaining about poor enemy AI in games I tend to like. I've never ascribed much thought to AI; anything but the big bosses are fodder. Usually when everyone is touting "Awesome AI!" like with the mutants in Rage, I find it

I'm aware of what it's supposed to mean when an entitled dudebro says it, and I'm also aware of its darker, misogynistic undertones. Here you go! http://lawsonry.com/2012/08/when-nice-guys-arent.html

Very true. But after having between our two PCs a PSU failure, two Mobo blowouts, two RAM sticks go bad, and two video cards die, all in the span of a year, I decided I am too poor to be able to afford PC gaming.

I've heard about that, yeah. I do my console gaming on my computer monitor and everything but the dashboard runs at 720p.

The article is being very tongue-in-cheek. It's mocking the friend zone concept. This is a Gawker media blog, I'm sure they're well aware of the rampant misogyny associated with many "friend zone" rants, with their stalker-ish implication that nice guys deserve to be rewarded with sex for the *grand charity* of not

I dunno, if it's well-animated 60 FPS will still look okay. Ratchet & Clank is also a very cartoonish series, and those games look GREAT at 60 FPS. Of course, they are also shooter hybrids. I guess it partially depends on the type of game; you don't need 60 FPS during Bioware-style 20-minute conversations, but you

There's really only one thing I want out of the PS4 and Durango: 1080p and 60FPS. I'm fairly satisfied with the level of detail in the current generation, my only beef is that many devs seem fine with 20-30 FPS, and 720p is starting to look really jaggy without some solid antialiasing (which neither of the current

I find the system annoyingly tone-deaf; Nintendo doesn't seem to realize that the reason I game with an iPad in my lap is for non-game related stuff like Twitter, or maybe possibly Googling something in the game if I'm unclear on what I'm supposed to be doing. As Yahtzee points out, whether looking at your TV or

No it isn't; it's a temporary no, or a "soft" no. A flat No is much worse.

I couldn't agree more. I'm a bit of a media history buff, and it bums me out that any of these "always online" games will be completely gone and inaccessible within probably just 10-20 years. Maybe less. They will literally just be completely gone to history. NES emulation will still exist as a historical time capsule

I'm pretty dubious about Steambox; given that it's a PC architecture, it's likely to be technologically outdated within a couple years (or, given the expected low price point, INSTANTLY), so the only thing that could keep it rolling is strong optimization, which means dev support. I mean christ, both current-gen

Hoo boy. A few weeks ago I correctly predicted the Fox News outcry over the AC3 "Evil George Washington" DLC. Well, I'm planting that stake again; Evil AC3 George's got nothing on that Washington propaganda image above. "Video game portrays America as bastion of racism and ethnic purification!" The fact that the game

He could do worse, Brian Posehn is a nerd/slacker god.
