The best part of the .gif at the top is when the BMW powerslides all the way through.

When they’re done, the Reveros will look and drive a lot like their predecessor Karmas. Though the new car will have its own front and rear fascia design, it will be powered by the same engine and same A123 battery...

I have driven a lot of BMWs with that gear shifter. And while I’ve never had any really crazy shit happen like rollaways, I have found them to be annoyingly finicky at times—not wanting to go into park right away, not always shifting into reverse or drive when I ask, the beeping warning icons you mentioned, etc.

For 3 years I had the BMW version of these idiotic return-to-center joystick style shifters. I don’t get why car companies make them. My car had 3 fail safe mechanisms not present in the even stupider FCA version:

If you try to decipher Hideo Kojima, you’re gonna have a bad time.

We know it’s legit because it’s recorded vertically, the true sign of any legit moron.

I’m sure the company would like to hear that their driver did the right thing.

I have my car in the air

Hydraulic certainly adds quite a bit of weight. Most race cars (I know, a totally different thing from a Dakar truck) use pneumatic. The whole system adds probably 25 pounds to the car. 25 pounds on my road car isn’t what I’d consider significant weight. The cost however...

I thought that was how everyone did it. Saves your back!

I love how he positions the fresh tyre the same why I do. Sit on ass, and prop it up with your feet.

I said he should do a full LeMon’s write up, car, build, race, and team up with you. He’s doing that isn’t he?

Good to see that Excel experience gained from working at Porsche has paid off for you!
