"After 2025, the steering wheel will play a less dominant role in the interior," Hendriks said from the company's Plymouth campus on Tuesday. "With fully autonomous vehicles, you don't have to be forward looking as a driver, you don't need to have an instrument panel. Then you can really just think of a car as a box

It does feel heavy, though. Over bumps there is a lot of mass is moving around, and I think that's because it feels quite softly sprung. I drove it back-to-back with a Lamborghini Gallardo and, while I enjoyed the Lamborghini, the Lincoln was definitely the more comfortable of the two.

Yeap, a rear wheel, 536bph, 590lb/ft V8 powered vault on wheels Accord. Honda should totally make one of those...

On the upside, the plans generally track hard braking, number of miles driven, time of day the car is in use but not speed. Driver's considered "safe" who don't use their car that often get discounts.

Okay, I can't get over the fact that the center console looks like a giant feature phone. My wife had one that looked dead on like that minus the buttons along the top (obviously). It took me a while to realize that was the center console and not a phone that just happened to be really close to the camera.

Actually, it's the overall duty cycle, not the Hz that causes change in brightness. i.e. if it's on 50% of the time, it's half brightness. Whether that's on 1/120th of a second, then off 1/120th of a second running at 60 Hz, or on 1/600th of a second and off 1/600th of a second running at 300 Hz.

Also, FWIW, Cadillac

I'd definitely take a Panamera Turbo S. It's a Porsche I can convince the wife to get... being as it has 4 doors, and 4 seats in the back large enough for the Kid and her friend... and we can get to band practice with the QUICKNESS.

A while back I knew a girl who fit solidly in the 'hipster' category... and out of all the cars she could choose when she got a new one, she grabbed a Plymouth Valiant. For some reason, it actually did seem to just fit her personality.

I don't really blame them. I mean, in most of the country, A/C isn't required (that's what windows are for), but if you want it to work, it can be a major money pit.

If they could somehow hack some suicide doors in there a la RX-8, this would be perfect.

At the same time in many states, RV's are not required to undergo any emission testing.

This is going to be great when they release a 4 door version...

Seriously, that 1L Ford engine is awesome, give us a small light weight car powered by that thing with just what we need to pass crash regulations. I'd love that! Something that makes a new Miata look big. But don't make it weird and stand up-ish like the Smart, make a little bare bones roadster/coupe.

Seriously, what

Definitely hung out there a bit. It's not a bad car (for the most part) to work on. The electrical problems get to me after a while. Two dealerships had my car each for a week to try to duplicate and diagnose the wiring harness issue... Stumped them both, and the boards. Luckily I'm a computer engineer/science major

When I got my 2002 Protege5, I was told that the yellow took an extra 5 coats of paint... Apparently that tidbit was supposed to get me to buy it over a blue one. Didn't matter, I didn't get it there anyway, sales guy said "What, ABS? You only need that in an emergency"...

To go along with the YMMV, mine's got 140k on

Is it just me, or does the side view kinda look like a 4 door Z4 coupe?

Also, I always thought the Z4 coupe looked odd from the side. Like the back is way too big for the front... but yet the front is somehow too big in otherways compared to the back.

Just not feeling it. It's an improvement over the smile, sure, but

I'd much rather have the M3 Sedan anyway. 4 doors means more usefulness... and more sway when justifying it with the wife.

Next time the 'copter will forgo loading ordinance and instead strap mirrors to the bottom of it. Perhaps computer controlled ones that will point the lasers back at the people.

#10. I wanted one when it came out. I still want one. They're still around, and they're worth almost as much as they were when they were new... such is what you get from a truly limited run I suppose.

NEVER stand behind someone backing a car in... you stand to the side. If you can't, maybe you should "practice" somewhere else. Or, you know, not park there.
