i thought that this has been happening for a while now as google pulls more and more of its core apps out of the base android platform. they keep their proprietary-ness, and the world gets more options on an open source platform. i fail to see the problem.

that's the studios argument, but everyone that downloads movies to any real quantity knows that screengrabs just plain suck. the piracy argument is invalid.
