Pictured: a concise summation of 20 years of Bills football.
Remember, now, that baseball is a simple game that even Caribbean players can understand.
This one immediately came to mind:
The loss to Jamaica was only one part of an underwhelming Gold Cup in which we were outshot during the group stage.
We underperformed at the Gold Cup, without question.
They didn’t even wait until their failure to qualify was confirmed.
We are not Andorra and Mexico is not Italy. Jamaica certainly isn’t. Klinsmann made his goals clear at the start of the year: “Win the Gold Cup” and “qualify for the Olympics.” Those are goals we’ve accomplished before. We did not this year.
American players and the greater U.S. system so abhor strong criticism and the kind of accountability seen in the international game at its highest levels that they’d rather have a coach who doesn’t call anyone out even if that’s exactly what they hired him to do.
Is this what “gig ‘em” means?
Let’s just say Mark Sanchez has made at least two 17 year-olds cry.
I think the star of this video is in fact the slam-ee, who willingly sacrificed his body to provide the internet with content.

The Olympics shouldn’t be a goal.
I don’t ask that we become World Cup Champions overnight. I would like if perhaps we could beat Mexico and Jamaica again. If, perhaps, we could assert ourselves on a game, rather than sitting back against every nation this side of Panama. Those are not impossible tasks, and I think they are reasonable to ask of a guy…
Friendlies should be overlooked? The USA’s first EVER win in Germany and first EVER win against Holland, and they don’t “count” for you. Really?
Friendly wins should very much be overlooked. And that’s a Netherlands team that’s struggling with Iceland, Turkey, and the Czech Republic in actual competition.
No, but he is the technical director. He picked the man who does coach the U-23 team. Klinsmann made a point of integrating the Olympic players into the senior camp this January. He also referred to Olympic qualification as “the main task for 2015.” If we can’t judge him even on the goals he sets, what can we judge…
The team had to go for a result last night against a better team, thus, ugly soccer. Klinsmann will eventually be judged on how well he can win important games and create fluid soccer at the same time, but that’s impossible right now.
The NFL should contract until every team has a competent quarterback. Now, you might think this option is drastic and would be met with outrage, but really, it’s better for the long-term health of Bills fans.
