I’m used to seeing things like this on io9. Several people share a reasoned criticisms of your comments so, rather than actually engaging with the points raised, you divert attention to a particular inflammatory comment from someone else entirely (as if to say, “look at what I’m dealing with... they deserve it”).

While reading the article I noticed the lack of an ‘s’ at one point on ‘Stevens’ and noticed the she pronoun being used and dismissed it as sloppy editing or something. The gender of this person literally made no difference to me while reading the article.
