“Jousting”?

Oracle of Ages and Seasons are two of the best games in the series, but it feels like not enough people have actually played through them.

I’ve had conversations with him before, and largely agreed with his point of view. So here’s hoping.

Well met. A lot of online folks would just become irrationally upset at any sort of friction, but you presented your case well and argued admirably.

Fair enough. I’m not trying to inspire ire. I just asked a question hoping for a well thought out intelligent answer, and now, here we are.

Doesn’t that go without saying?

Agreed 100% If a game has clear flaws, call them out. That being said, I try to due diligence and read a couple reviews before I make decision on trying a game, but 5 reviews of nothing aren’t helpful. Tha being said, I know this isn’t a review, per se, but definitely calls it like it is.

I’ll second the sentiment. Snark is way fucking played out, IMO, and I’ve dug every piece of hers thus far.

Heather has been killing it lately with opinion/review pieces. She definitely doesn’t hide her true feelings about a game and I find the articles very straightforward and reminiscent of the “golden age” of late 90s/early 00s gaming journalism. More about the essence of the game itself.

Keep in mind that this is more of an impression piece. Reviews are much more comprehensive and we indicate when something is being treated as a review. These are just my thoughts based on a few hours of gameplay.

It’s my favorite game, I love how every continent has a different culture depending on their respective moon.

That scene gave me goosebumps the first couple times I played it. God, that was a good game.

I love that part. One of my favorite games ever.

Even Baltor shows up!

I’ll forgive it if we can give Rattata a Mario hat.

Especially since Doctor Who has been my favorite show since I was about 2 years old, and Rick and Morty has more than a few similarities. But that art style, ugh - I just can’t watch it without being distracted by how damn ugly it is.

Well in my perfect world there would be no guns to tell about. (I know that will never happen, and I’m pretty sure my kids know how both guns and dildos operate - but it’s not something we have regular conversations about)

I’d rather tell my kids what a dildo is for than a gun. In a perfect world.
