People who mean it seriously are not the people I’m talking about. I’m sorry you live in a place where that seems to be the case for everybody, but it’s not the case in other regions, and it’s not the thing that the OP was admonishing (so it’s not the thing I was responding to; though, I did make mention of it’s

Oi. Anytime anyone panders to the base, like this, it’s going to look pretty gross. But it’s much easier to swallow when the grossness is subtext. Liberal pandering looks a lot more like “We have to get rid of the guns because that will OBVIOUSLY save lives*. Fucking DUH!”, which is a message that is pretty solid, on

Nice. Yeah, I assumed. I’ve been a part of a few faux-shotgun-weddings and they were all pretty careful about observing the safety procedures. That’s why it didn’t even occur to me in my first comment. But then I remembered that not everyone is so diligent so I figured I’d ask (or virtue signal, if one’s being

Separate thought, so separate comment: I hope the gun was broken over his shoulder. Whatever other jokes you want to make, there’s not a god damn thing that is funny about poor gun safety. If the people in the audience couldn’t visually identify the gun as being unloaded, that’s a huge problem.

There’s nothing easier to read about a sentence that has two spaces after it, because we don’t have universal space sizing.

Hey, uh...gotta say, I’m a little confused. I know I made a comment to you about something else, but it was dismissed. All I can see, now, is you responding to the comment where you pulled that quote from.
So, overall, I’m not sure which post you’re responding to.
