I have no idea how you got “price is the flip side of value” from what I wrote. What I wrote jives entirely with the definitions you quote.
No I’m not. Value is what someone will theoretically pay for it. Price is what someone is willing to accept for it. At no point did I conflate those two ideas.

I know about the galleries and the collectors and how they select pieces and then artificially inflate their values for greater ROIs, in case you’re implying that I’m unaware of the absolute scam that is ‘fine art’.
After all, if something is art because I say it is, then it is therefore valued at whatever I say it is.
That all depends upon what you’re trying to say. If your message is a commentary on the nature of art, I can see feeling bored with the means of conveyance.
Who valued it at that? Whoever that is, then feel free to sell it to them at that cost. But I doubt it was The Takeout. And, even if it was, you can’t compel a sale.

Gotta say, it’s disheartening to see people jumping on you, for this, since it seems like a pretty reasonable read of the author’s statements. But it’s pretty hilarious that they’re arguing that NO ONE is asking for open borders.
