Last Friday, I watched this movie with my kids for the first time since the aughts. My kids loved it and it is as great as it ever was.

The prevailing theory is that the box contains the fetus that Gwyneth Paltrow was carrying , not her head. Earlier in the movie, we see bottles with what appear to be fetuses (feti? fetuces?) suspended in liquid inside.
Spamalot is back on Broadway (for the time being) and seems to be doing quite well.
The inclusion of The Final Cut on this list is mind boggling. Yes, it is effectively a Roger Waters solo album. But it is fantastic. Don’t judge it by the standards of a Pink Floyd album. Judge it for its own unique vision.
“AV Club didn’t use to cover stuff like this...”
I guess you haven’t been here very long, huh?
The Cosby Show was on the air for a good 5 years before the Simpsons ever aired (aside from as short skits on The Tracy Ullman show.)
I was just about to write that. Any list of the greatest comedy specials that omits Bill Cosby “Himself” is simply a false list. On any given day, it could easily be the greatest comedy special ever.
There are so many classic bits — many of which people a certain age knew by heart.
And what makes it all the more…
Amen!
There are very few workplace sitcoms as good as NewsRadio. So that’s not a fair comparison.

From its terrific storyline finally featuring a different iteration of Spiderman, to its absolutely incredible animation which successfully mimicked actual printed comics, to its sheer sense of fun, I…
I have always felt that FoD’s being about, as you say, “our personal connections to the game,” both on an individual level, and on a societal level, is precisely what makes it great and the greatest baseball movie.
See also, Tom Clancy.
You left out how, for years now, he was been a white savior of the black people, but he is through doing that.
Man, this guy is like Dr. Kevorkian for his own career.
There already was Start Trek on a gangster planet — the original series episode “A Piece of the Action,” featuring Arizona’s favor diner owner, Vic Taback.
I maintain Into Darkness would have been so much better had it not been made.
I do miss Bollywood’s greatest actor...Ricardo Montalban.
Man...I had to check. Torme died in 1999!
You lost all credibility when you wrote that the original Night Court is “mostly remembered by die hard sitcom nerds.
Night Court is one of the best, funniest, and most underrated sitcoms of that 80s / early 90s. I do not know anyone in Generation X who does not look back fondly on that show.
I have not seen the new…
