That assumes there is traffic behind them. The lack of spatial awareness with many drivers is dumbfounding.

There are lots of things, mainly knowledge retention and application. Specifically, I have noticed a dangerous trend in my area concerning right of way etiquette: “Dangerous courtesy”

When chain-link fence is your design inspiration

Highway onramps are for accelerating up to highway speeds.

I rented an MG last time I went on vacation in Cancun. Anyone who still belly-laughs at Chinese cars based on memories of that Brilliance BS9 crash test video should be prepared to re-evaluate their opinion of Chinese cars. The MG I drove was a compact sedan that drove and felt every bit as good as any compact Ford,

Read all the books and cite all the economic “rules” you want, nobody cares what a thing “should have” cost if it had been adjusted for inflation all along. It wasn’t, and we just care what it cost now compared to a year ago.

The “reality” is all economic “rules” are completely made up and selectively “enforced.”

Now,

It’s like my mom always used to tell me: “The biggest appeal of Star Wars is the tertiary characters who have less than ten minutes of screen time”

When I saw that the ADL has started advertising on Twitter again, I realized that the world is more fucked up than even my pessimistic mind realized and we’re all really screwed. If they are willing to sign back up to give money to Musk and that cesspool of hate, then Musk will not be worried about the business ever

I thought I’d be sad when I got to the age of not knowing about current pop culture trends, but now that it’s happened I’m pretty cool with it.

Drew is dangerously untalented.  The weakest link in any project I’ve seen her in.  Seriously.  Or did I miss a swath of her amazing work?

Wow. These corporations really seem to hate good old fashioned American Capitalism. Almost like an admission that it doesn’t really work.

If it were harder to get these student loans, maybe it would help keep higher educational costs in check too. Seems like half the reason that college has gotten so expensive is because it’s so easy to get a hundred thousand or so in loans to pay for it, all backed by the government.

Well said!!!!

I graduated 2007 from a state school and was able to buy a house in 2009.

Even state schools charge $10k/semester and that’s -not- taking into account room, books, food...  So, sure, the average private school is double that, but good on ya if you don’t consider that “crazy expensive.

The state schools are drastically underfunded these days. Their tuitions have had to increase to make up the gap. I strongly doubt there are any remaining state schools that someone can graduate from with little or no debt.

State funding of colleges and universities has dropped off wildly over the decades so if your loans/tuition were less decades ago, it was because someone else’s tax dollars helped pay a LOT of your education in public funding of colleges and universities. That money is gone and tuition is way higher compared to wages.

Despite his crimes, the man had decent taste in cars”

“they bought it. ok, back to work”

I’ve said before, I’ll say it again:
