I think they trust his reviews because he does speak so confidently and intelligently. I stopped watching him a long time ago because I started to get the vibe he was shilling for certain companies.

We can’t consume our way out of a problem. Modern hybrids are cleaner and more efficient than they’ve ever been, and are a perfectly acceptable stopgap while the EV infrastructure improves and prices come down, which is when you’ll start to see mass adoption.

No kidding, but a $67k starting price is in new Cayman territory, and it’s even harder to swallow knowing what the depreciation is going to be like. Not saying it’s not worth the price, performance-wise, but it’s a ton of money. 

I find it really strange that this blog goes out of its way to deride modern trucks for being pedestrian killers due to their size, but nobody bats an eye when commuter cars get stuffed with combinations of skinny tires and massive power plants that should require a racing license to operate.
