Your life as a car enthusiast becomes much easier and more enjoyable once you stop giving a shit about bench racing.

That’s what I’m saying. If you’re going to rush the stage at an event like this at least have a quasi-plan in mind to say something funny.

A lot of politicians do clearly put on an act to pander to the dumbest people in society, but I think Cruz is genuinely stupid.

Daily reminder that Ted Cruz liked a porn post on Twitter on 9/11.

Driving stick shift is not like doing astrophysics or something. It’s really not that hard to do, and contrary to what most car people believe, does not automatically place you on some higher plane of intelligence than the common rube.

Don’t you have a grocery store aisle somewhere you should be standing in the middle of for no reason.

It’s a cool engineering exercise, but I don’t think it’s going to have much impact on the broader automotive world, at least not in the way that cars like the GT3 have had. It’s extremely limited production and they’ll almost all be bought up by collectors/speculators and never driven.

Gotta do something, man. We don’t all get to retire at 49 after working for 15 years at our dad’s plumbing/heating business that we sold for $5m so we can buy a 4500 sq. ft. house for $35k.

It’s not difficult to give a group of engineers a blank check and a few weekends to come up with something bonkers. It is, however, difficult to perform thorough QC on mass-produced vehicles, get those mass-produced vehicles to the people that ordered them in a timely manner, and ensure that they do not explode/brick

This is why nobody likes you guys any more.

I don’t think this style is trying to emulate steel wheels - it’s more of an homage to the Campagnolo alloys you’d find on period Alfas and obviously the Dunlop alloy which, to my knowledge, is the first ever wheel in this style:

It’s kind of weird they’re 16" only, but I’m hoping they offer some 15" sizes in the near future. I’m more excited about the Bridgestone Super R.A.P. making a return later this year.

Cars and Bids continuing their fine tradition of accepting whatever crap some yahoo throws their way.

Car enthusiasts don’t understand the automotive industry or consumer preferences: more at 11.

They actually do, though. Cars are expensive, and, speaking from the perspective of the broader public, if you can have one car that does everything moderately well and save yourself a few hundred dollars a month, that’s what you’re going to do.

Is it because their cars don’t have the same level of QC, or is it simply because there’s a far greater number of EVs there than the US?

There will always be a market for very clean examples of rare cars, and I’m sure that a well-kept EK9 with the VIN sticker still on the block is going to bring more money than a K-swapped one, but I doubt we’re going to see the hyper-obsessiveness with completely inconsequential finite details you currently see in the

I live in Ohio and have to say that yes, Republicans actually did do a fantastic job of reframing this awful thing. They made it almost entirely about abortion, but the problem with that is that abortion is no longer the slam-dunk they think it is. It was also extremely blatant misdirection on their part, and people
