This. I really feel like the U.S. caught Whovian fever during Smith’s run with Amy & Rory as companions. That’s played a factor in why Karen Gillian seems to be doing so well stateside (IMO).

I have to disagree. I really feel as if a watcher’s interpretation of the themes in MM are the perfect example of YMMV.

I sometimes think the people who *aren’t* superfans of a literary/comics/sci-fi property tend to do a better job in actualizing the movie/television adaptation as they are not slavishly devoted to its minutiae*. So I can’t hate on Ferguson for not finishing the book.
