I definitely felt the same regarding Lois being relegated to grieving Clark. But then I read an article that posited that Snyder really wanted to show how profound grief can inform every aspect of one’s life - and a deliberate choice for Snyder in light of his daughter’s passing.

That...doesn’t work for me. The Lasso is the Personification of Truth; as said in WW84, Truth is a concept like Justice. Being within it makes you see the truth - not just tell it.

I was relieved to see that Barry was actively more heroic in this version. I really disliked Whedon’s version of Flash being constantly fearful. It made no sense as Barry was already actively fighting crime anonymously (per his reveal in BvS). Whereas Whedon seemed needlessly focused on making Barry the audience…

But the movie version seems to forget that he should be vulnerable to magic. There’s no way he should’ve been able to resist the Lasso of Hestia when WW used it on him at the memorial. That scene drives me nuts as a result.

I feel like you’re conflating two issues. I’m referring to how Jordan behaves towards Clark: angry, rude, hostile. I actually completely understand his behavior on the football field toward the bullies: you bet I would’ve pulled the same stunt. But his unwillingness to listen to Clark is getting old *real* fast.

I also really loved how, when they addressed Clark previously listening in to Lois, that they didn’t treat it like a rom-com trope. She was legitimately (and understandably) POed. A lesser show would have romanticized his behavior.

Yeah, it was like the writers completely seem to forget that Lisa was from Queens. And then suddenly realized that her character should bond with Leslie Jones’ because of it.

I mentioned this very omission on another site that’s also covering this topic. It’s definitely odd to forget to mention it. Swift getting all huffy with Fey & Poehler was the first thing I thought of when I read about this.

Sure: Prinze was doing an interview with Zap2it for one of his own projects, and it veered over to SMG and BtVS. Bear in mind this is circa 2003 and right after SMG quit the show. Allegedly, when she did so (via the Entertainment Weekly cover), she had not notified anyone on the show beforehand.

The show is becoming as predictably canned as one of Ru’s “laughing jags” (and don’t get me started on *those*).

I always thought it strange that SMG never did a single episode commentary for the DVDs (not even the special edition box set). After reading that Variety article, now its entirely clear* why she didn’t.

I’d bet everything I have that the choreographer included those damn hula-hoops because of the Beyoncé video for “Work It Out” (during her “Austin Powers” based Foxxy Cleopatra period).
