I love it. Already imagining a Zora trim level with the full beans: carbon fiber, active aero, hybrid powertrain, AWD, pushrod suspension, maybe a longtail layout (a la Corvette Daytona prototype)...

The same people that pay extra to get a piece of rope instead of a regular door handle from Porsche will complain that the levers on the Vette are cheap. It's a badge thing. 

I don’t get all the hate in the Jalopnik comments about this car. I think it looks great, more like the supercars it is trying to emulate, it sounds incredible, and it will be an excellent value for the level of performance. Is it a badge thing?

The badge is my wife’s only hang up with this.  Working on it...

The lack of a V6 is a shame, but the guy specifically wants an automatic so this could still work for him
