S class? It’s fast. It’s comfy. It’s good looking. It's got more tech than most space vehicles. Oh wait, it gets bad gas mileage compared to a Prius. Dammit, that means someone hates it.

Why the NSX will fail- it missed the benchmark of the last Ferrari sportscar, and it waited so long that Ferrari went and made a ludicrously faster sports car. Also, at least two American sedans will be faster than the beaknosed halo car.

They filmed it, but it hasn’t been released yet. Not sure how the timing of video stuff works with their magazine release schedule, but that comparison was for the October 2015 issue, which means early Sept. mailing/newsstand, I think.

I noticed the one time I actually saw one on the road. I also noticed the one that was displayed at the dealer. But maybe there's a bunch of SS's driving around and I'm not noticing them because they're so boring. Or maybe I'm overly sensitive to the way that car looks because for a while I had my hopes and dreams set

I considered a diesel, but it wouldn’t have been a manual (328d is auto only). I didn’t consider the wagon because I don’t need AWD and that’s the only way it comes to the U.S. I guess I would’ve considered brown, but paint’s a $500 option on BMW’s and the car was already in the 50's, optioned the way I wanted it, and

Do you daily drive it nearly 40,000 miles per year? If so, can I have your job, you seem to be doing well.

No, just a long commute.

I'll stick to my 300+ hp sport sedan, thanks.

No it’s quite different. A Carrera Turbo S gets to 60 in 2.9 seconds. That’s 1.6 seconds quicker than the SS accelerates to 60, and about as quick as any million dollar hypercar. Even with that monstrous advantage in quick, the Turbo also gets 24 mpg hwy (the 911 Carrera S, which is a closer hp comparison, but still

It's got to be a gearing issue. A Hellcat gets 22 mpg hwy.

It looks much more dramatic in person. It's not a Lamborghini or anything, but it stands out next to other sedans. It's got a certain aggressiveness to it that screams I'M A FUN CAR

21 mpg hwy over 39,000 miles per year is why I don't drive a Chevy SS.

10-ish lbs/hp is pretty great in a modern car. my car is right at 11 and while its plenty quick, it doesn’t create the same kind of smile when flooring it as something like an M235i does

I like how it says RAWWWWWWWWRRRR instead of MROOOOOOWWWWWWWMMMMM or WRUUUUUEEEEEEEEEE.

No. ATS, because it was the smallest RWD sedan.

On one hand, LOLBMW models. On the other, there's a pretty strong chance that I would've bought an M235 Gran Coupe had it been available last year.

It's still bad. Different price-range but same size-range: the base X1 is rated at 23 city/34 hwy, and includes things like RWD and being as quick as a 328i.

I constantly make "Priuses (Prii?) are shit," remarks only to be told back "I drive a Prius." Then I respond with, "I'm sorry," not because of what I said, but because they're driving vehicular novocaine.

It also might just be the best all-rounder money can buy.
