Get a 36x25 drip tray. I then have a piece of plastic that I use to divert oil as I remove a filter. All in all, I leave very little oil behind. I usually need a few Scott Shop Towels to wipe up the miss on the drip tray, but that’s about it.

Am I doing this right?
You also have a market divide. Where are the small, efficient luxury vehicles? When you get a high MPG vehicle, they are mostly econoboxes with none of the things that make a higher end car comfortable. Luxury always seems to mean high performance too.
Survey is complete BS.
Now they just need a pair of gloves that actually work with a touch screen. Any I’ve tried fail miserably and the ‘paint’ made to put on gloves does not work well either.
1978 - running around while the family was moving into the new house. Came around the old trailer my dad had hitched to the Plymouth Valiant and caught my leg, an inch or so above the knee cap on the jagged sharp rusty edge of the fender. Cut all the way to the bone and left a wound very deep, and about 4"long.
I’ve purchased all my daily vehicles new since the first back in the 80's. All have had a manual transmission. Even the two used vehicles I’ve bought have manuals. Then again, Willys didn’t even offer an automatic back in 1946 and if a Unimog has an automatic, I don’t want to know about it. (^_^)
It’s not the actual slowing, it’s the gear change. No matter how good you are at rev matching, there will be some slip and wear. Clutch plates are a LOT thinner than brake pads.
Isn’t that where the computer goes that tells you when there is a manifold danger?
Family has more money than brains.
Well, he modded the engine to 1000hp. Why not the lights?
If he did it in MA and his name was Kennedy, he’d be given an apology and driven home.
Wait, I’ve watched Fast and Furious, don’t you have to do this so that you can shift every half second or so?
One of the worst “lets make something up” movies.
They are not talking about using the engine to control speed in a downhill. They are talking about coming up to every traffic light downshifting and using the transmission to slow. That kind of action will wear out expensive to replace clutches far faster than cheap to replace brakes.
My V-10 Ram could run at like 700RPM perfectly happy in just about any gear. Ran that truck 15 years without any problems. My current 5 cylinder Volvo does not like it when I get below 1000, but again, nearly 10 years and no issues. The 4-banger on my Willys can idle at 900, but in gear it is MUCH happier at about…
Get your foot off the clutch when stopped. Put the vehicle in neutral. Holding the clutch in puts strain on the throwout bearing and in some vehicles heats up the slave cylinder on a hydraulic clutch which can lead to early seal failures. In some cases you can also do damage to the pressure plate’s springs by holding…
Did’t exist then. Briefs were, well, too brief. Boxers just breathed better and after 50 years I’m not switching now. (^_^)
Well, that’s all well and good until your boxers fail to contain the snake and it starts to poke out the bottom. I was quite happy when shorts got longer. Too many embarrassing gym classes in the 70's.
So...
