Holy crap that Tesla is porky. 5400lbs curb weight is about the same as a Suburban which is significantly larger than the Model X. I don’t care how fast it gets to 60mph, the Model X is overweight and it will pay for it on efficiency.

Why buy a Pagani Huayra when you can buy this car that makes twice more power for less?
I remember seeing the Renault Sport Spider at an autoshow, it must have been 1996, maybe early 1997. No windshield, it looked like something from out of space. It was amazing. In another five years, once they can be imported into the US I may even look for one to bring in. In blue, with the crazy wind deflector…
Or: they’ll build them in Nissan’s plant in Mexico and sell them in he US as a Dinalpin. That way Renault can make money selling them to Americans and still be all smug and say “you don’t get the real thing” (with a heavy french accent)
I don’t see a Cherokee. I do see a Range Rover rear end and a 1980s Ford Ranger front. Actually, the front has a strong Ford Explorer vibe to me. Given that the Explorer came ten years after, I’d say this was ahead of its time.
The way I read it the EPA is saying that you cannot remove/modify the emission system on any car that was certified for road use. It doesn’t matter if the car will be used for competition only or not.
I honestly hope it works out for you in the end, but so far it seems to be living up to the expectations. It is a gorgeous car, though.
Almost two months and 900 miles. LOL.
Is one thing to not read your coworkers articles, but flaunting it like this is poor manners
So the Toyotas re-badged as Scion for the US market will now be re-badged as Toyotas? The circle is now complete...
I don’t want to scare anybody, but the slide says “Next Generation 4-door Wrangler” and nowhere on the slide do they mention the 2-door Wrangler...
Removing the wing should be cheap, but you will still need some paint work after fixing the roof. At that point, might as well buy one like the other one linked that needs nothing. This white one is overpriced. CP
We should start a poll on how many miles does DeMuro manage to drive the Aston Martin before he sells it. I say less than 3,000.
Fair enough, and that’s why for an ultimate winter car I’d go with gasoline. Cold weather starts will be easier with gasoline.
You use winter diesel for that. I’ve driven diesel trucks on the North Slope at -40 degrees. As long as you kept them running -or had somewhere to plug the engine heater-there was no problem.
Andrew, Torchinsky stole your password and is posting in your name.
The title of the article may have been click-bait but it sounds like Puranik explained what happened accurately. And being completely honest, Puranik’s use of “stole” in the title of the article and in this context, while not entirely accurate, is not unreasonable.
I’m not an expert on geography, but I’m pretty sure Detroit is not on the way when you drive from Boulder, Colorado to Herndon, Virginia. They care so much about the environment that they are driving extra miles on their too-polluting car?
If two Cuban Navy boats drift into US waters, does FOX think it would be ok for the Cubans to be “at their weapons” when they welcome the US Coast Guard? Are we really so petty to cause a major incident -even start a world war, over this?
Do Google autonomous cars dream of electric 911s?
