Interesting piece of history. The braced frame is gorgeous, looking at the threadless headset and seems like Onza pedals I’d guess yes mid/late nineties. Before SRAM took over Sachs obviously... The tires are period correct too, front is a Velociraptor? Can’t believe those are still made!

There is no logical reason to buy a 13 year old Italian (semi)exotic. So this is the kind of car you buy, drive for a few months to enjoy, get it out of your system. Then you re-sell for about what you paid for and you get to enjoy a Maserati for almost no cost.

The Elon Musk email is awful, and a good explanation of why they are having problems with this issue. The part about how “less represented people didnt habe it as nice as us whites” can, and will be interpreted by many as saying that “black people take offense at anything, so watch what you say.” It doesn’t help

Crack Pipe because that front seat will give you an STD.

Did Ford finally incorporate sideways pedestrian protection or should people still avoid 2018 Mustangs at Cars&Coffee?

Because Tesla has a track record of properly planning things. And that’s why the missed the deadline for the Model 3 release, they are behind schedule on production... and laying off workers.

I don’t know, from some angles I’m seeing more 2CV than beetle. It’s like a VW Beetle had a one night stand with a 2CV and this is the child they had. Which was obviously abandoned at a Polish orphanage and never told of it’s origins.

Edit: I’m a moron, just noticed the link.

How many Model 3s have been delivered to customers so far?

Why would Shelby do it? Because they will make money on it. Why will Shelby make money on it? Because some people’s wallets are bigger than their penis.

It is about the same length as a Tacoma. Which is the pick up it’s supposed to compete with. Why is anybody bitching? Oh yes, all the people that said they’d buy one are now looking for an excuse to justify why they won’t: “the bed is too small” “Is too long” “No 2 door version” And this is why we can’t have nice

By the looks of it I think you were lucky to hit the pole. Otherwise you may or orloved it.

It has been done. Renault sold a clutchless-manual version of the Twingo (and Clio too, I think) in the late 90s/early 00s. They may still sell it. And I know there were other clutchless manual cars before.

You are 100% right about the general anonimity of crossover/SUVs. By the way, this -the general anonimity of SUVs, reminds me of a good suggestion for a Meh-car Monday article: the current Subaru Forester.

I think it is safe to say that Andrew Liszewski doesn’t know much about bicycles and bike racing if he expects those tires to be used in competition.

Why is it that any and all reports about FF on Jalopnik are full of snark and scorn, most will also (not so)subtly imply that FF will fail miserably; but when Tesla says they are going to production before completing prototypes. Or Tesla uses a kickstarter to fund their Model 3 (because they don’t have any cash to

Honda Ridgeline. We bought it to replace a Volvo S60 to have something that could haul gear for camping, my mountain bikes etc... it looked like a great option. The trunk in the bed, comfortable inside, nice ride.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to design an emergency access port to the power lines? You could even label it so any emergency responder knows where it is, rather than relying on an emergency responder to Google where the fuck the emergency release is while your car burns.

People trying to tavarish* themselves into a car. The fact that this was a two owner vehicle suggests these guys were trying to use Turo to finance their toy.

Like I said: they are going after the Wrangler and Tacoma markets. But it seems like they are going to end with an SUV that competes with the Cherokee and a truck too big to compete with their own F150.
