I’m from there too. I fucking HATED it. Hated the people I grew up with to the point I walled myself off. It was something I realized a few years ago, but lacking exposure to more diverse people was a missed opportunity. That’s one of the things I liked about Boston. There were different people ... right there.

Driving in Boston is manageable once you adjust the fact that EVERYONE is an aggressive driver. California was a rude awakening because of the whole rainbow of bad driving. You never know what you’re in for.

Boston is strangely segregated and integrated at once. Parts like Jamaica Plain, Mission Hill, and Alston are very diverse, the Back Bay and Mattapan, hardly at all.
