Because people see headlines that say “Driverless Uber car involved in crash” and fail to read the rest of the story. They conclude autonomous vehicles are unsafe.

Because people who don’t like Uber/self driving cars will spin this to be that they aren’t safe. Most of the general public just reads headlines and facebook/twitter commentary.
The US is over a dozen trillion in debt and the GOP wants to ramp up spending (like they did the last time they were in power). It’s time to wind down this “world police” nonsense. We are telling our citizens that millions of them will have to go without healthcare so that we can spend hundreds of billions policing…
“The last time a aircraft carrier has been used in battle was in World War II”
Even apart from the 970 people who will berate you over Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Gulf I, GWOT, Gulf II, the crews of HMS Invincible and HMS Hermes would like to take you into a dark alleyway and kick the living crap out of you both…
We do not build carriers to fight naval battles against China and Russia. We build carriers to project air power anywhere in the world, at any time, whether we have accessible air bases with mission permission or not. That is what carriers have been used for since World War II and will continue to be used for.
Those Navy/Marine pilots who flew over Vietnam must be surprised.
Your definition of “used in battle” is fairly exclusionary of the last 70+ years of carrier history, and their air-wing’s contributions to the Korean, Vietnam, Cold, and Gulf wars... not to mention GWOT. But don’t let that get in the way of your narrative.
They only reason they want to build all this stuff is to create defense jobs in their district to boost re-election odds. The armed forces are getting hardware they don’t even want.
I just don’t see why they wouldn’t atleast have the map on the touch screen.
So basically, because you haven’t experienced it it’s not a problem?
I’ve encountered it a couple times and it’s a semi-common issue with gamers at large. It can happen with a firmware issue or if you get hit by a power outage or some other event outside of your control.
Not surprised they stripped it out. Can’t have a feature that isn’t available on their shiny new hardware. It sucks, but Nintendo is a business.
THIS. THIS is why I cancelled my Switch preorder. For the love of God, Nintendo. Your software is great, the Switch hardware is enticing in many ways, but THIS is why I decided I would wait a year or so. You can’t even get the simplest little things right.
Tfw u have to hack your own save data.
What the fuck is wrong with you, Nintendo?
That’s an understatement. It is more like One Step Forward, Breaks Foot.
Sorry man, but that makes no sense. Two years is a long time. A long time that crap will happen. Were not suppose to judge the release for two years? Like when has any tech got that long of a grace period. Why should Nintendo not be held accountable for things like this? Every other piece of tech is. Microsoft…
Even as a joke, that is ridiculous. Imagine the power going out in your house and the save gets corrupted. Blegh, Nintendo keep getting a pass on everything. This is BS right now.
