The whole thing was a bad plan right out of the (Star)gate.

Didn't do much in an effort to kick the last of this flu out of my system, which is now mostly gone, hallelujah. Other than that, I putzed around with a few projects at my house, but didn't make much headway on anything.

Thanks!

Oooh that's a new one to me too (no cable, so I just stumble on these Syfy series when they hit streaming). I'll check it out!

I just finished binge-watching Dark Matter on Netflix, which I hadn't heard much about, but I was laid up with the flu all weekend and it seemed as good as any. Has anyone else watched it? I liked it, but I couldn't shake the feeling that it was a less-silly Farscape crossed with Firefly.

I always liked his pinning down what that leap between medieval weapons and firearms, something along the lines of, crossbows, bows and arrows, etc. could be used only as functions of your body's own strength (focused and stored), but a gun provides power separate from the person wielding it, making it a different

Ugh. The remnants of this flu, and the fact that I've never been busier at work. All I want to do is sleep, people! But no, I gotta keep working at home after regular hours just to keep my head above water with all this shit.

They've really gone down in koala-ty.

…and now I'll have to add it to my queue.

You have no power over me, fake rumor mill!

I look forward to the montage where Jareth learns, fails, practices then masters the Magic Dance.

Off and on since September. With all the holidays and after-work darkness this time of year, I could only work on sanding the inlay (which took the most time) on weekends.

Thanks!

I finally finished a headboard for my friend - I've been working on it for months. It was my first inlay project, and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. More inlay (and a better respirator) may be in my future! https://www.instagram.com/p…

Mmm.. chile con Disqueso

I rewatched it for the first time in a loooong time a few months ago, and hadn't remembered that the "plot" itself is pretty boring, but goddammit I could watch Tim Curry's scenes on a recurring loop forever and never stop being entertained.

Is season 2 streaming anywhere? I haven't found it yet, but I just finished S1 too and loved it.

Almost got side-swiped TWICE this morning. Driving gets terrible when we have any kind of weather falling from the sky, but it's gorgeous today, so I can only conclude that people are the worst. But I got to honk, and I enjoy that.

I'm making chicken tikka masala for the first time today. I prepped it last night and it's (hopefully) cooking away in the crockpot right now. Serving it for a girls' night tonight with basmati rice and roasted chickpeas.
