Interesting. I just read Dan Jones' War of the Roses book and thought Richard came out of it none too well. I doubt he was the monster Shakespeare wrote him to be, either, but I'd be interested in knowing what the pro-Richard arguments are.

Read JK Rowling's second Robert Galbraith novel, The Silkworm which I liked quite a bit. I'll be on the lookout for the 3rd one soon. Also read Dan Jones' The Wars of the Roses: The Fall of the Plantagenets and the Rise of the Tudors which was a perfect follow-up to watching The White Queen miniseries - the show gave

I love the behind-the-scenes featurette on my Labyrinth DVD (for many reasons) but particularly for Bowie talking about how interested he was in the project and the artwork that inspired a lot of the look of the movie. In that, and in other interviews over the years, he always struck me as someone genuinely interested

Pretty good - it was one of those weekends where I did a lot and nothing at the same time. Lots of errands and little things, but I haven't finished any of my big projects yet. I'm hoping to knock a few out tonight, plus my new rugs just arrived so I can put those down tonight! (Being an adult is weird.)

I approve.

I way late to the party, but I just started watching Fargo since season 1 showed up on Hulu. Holeeeeeeeeee shit, it's good. I'm almost done and have a sneaking suspicion I'll break down and order season 2 on Amazon streaming just so I don't have to wait a year.

Happiest of birthdays, my fellow internet aristocrat!

I got the job I interviewed for 2 months ago! It's internal at my company, but we were on a hiring freeze over the holidays, so I just now found out. More money, more interesting work, better managers! Hooray!

The only jury I've served on was because a guy challenged his ticket for running a red light and opted for a jury trial. (He didn't even challenge that he rolled through the light, just that he didn't know you have to come to a complete stop before making a right turn on red.) It was the dumbest case possible that

Show your work.

I found Wikipedia to be very helpful when streaming Don't Trust the B… - highly recommend to make sure you get production order instead of airing order!

It was pretty good. My family did a throwback NYE to what we used to do as kids - fondue and smores with family friends. We were supposed to do strawberry daiquiris as well (another tradition) but we were all sugared- and boozed-out at that point. We're old.

It's on Hulu. It's part of my required holiday watching, along with the Muppets Christmas Carol and Vicar of Dibley's Christmas specials.

I don't, sorry. I haven't started my free trial yet, so I don't know what the quality's like.

Your birthday: I approve.

Finished handmade Christmas gift 1 of 5 (a pillow "pajama eater" for my nephew)! 2 of 5 should be done tonight, and I'm pretty excited about it. My mom had an old water pump from her grandfather's house that was collected dust and spider's eggs in the corner of the garage. She loves it but never could figure out what

Our family traditionally has Chinese food on Christmas Eve, but our favorite place closed a few years ago and we haven't found a suitable replacement that's also open on the holiday. I'm going to attempt to make a bunch of our favorite dishes. I already have great recipes for honey garlic chicken, shrimp fried rice

Aw I'm so sorry.

My weekend consisted of lots of sewing - making Christmas presents and an enormous fucking tutu - and a tacky Christmas photo shoot with my friends (the event for which the tutu was made). Pretty fun all around, but alas I'm starting a huge work project tomorrow (best timing ever) so this week is going to be more
